According to the Afghan intelligence agency—the National Directorate of Security—the bomber had a plan to place his explosives in Abu Hanifa Dar al-Hefaz in Torghnudi, a border town in north of Herat province.
Police identified the bomber which prompted him to prematurely detonate his explosives, said the provincial police officials.
Security officials have not disclosed to which insurgent group the bomber belonged to.
