At least 83 people were tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic within the past 24 hours, said the health ministry Saturday, adding the country lost 10 COVID-19 patients during the same period.
The new patients died from the illness pushed the total deaths to 2,158, according to ministry’s figures.
Also, 260 patients having been contracted with the COVID-19 disease have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of coronavirus recoveries to 41,012.
Worldwide, at least 1,747,803 have died and over 79.5 million more have been infected since the start of an outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December.
