Head of Kandahar’s Department of Hajj and Religious Affairs Wounded in Armed Attack

Akhundzada and his driver came under armed attack today around 9:00am in the eleventh district of Kandahar city, the provincial police Jamal Nasir Barekzai spoke to TKG.

Head of the department was wounded in the attack, according to the spokesman, while his driver lost the battle for his life.

There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
