The accident took place in Herat-Torghundi Highway Monday evening, according to Mohammad Rafiq Shirzai, spokesman for the provincial health department.
At least three women, two children and two men have died in the crash, said the source.
Similarly on Monday morning, a car crash in Herat’s Pashtun-Zargun district left at least twelve people wounded.
Drivers’ negligence and collapsed roads are believed to be the main causes and factors that contribute to car collisions.
