According to Tariq Arian, spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Interior, a sticky bomb attached to a car belonging to Mahbobullah Mohibi, the deputy governor of the capital Kabul, went off Tuesday morning around 9:40 [Afghanistan time].
The attack took place in in Macroyan area, the ninth district of capital.
Mr. Arian put the toll of casualties to two people killed, including the deputy governor and his aide, and another two who were Mohibi’s bodyguards wounded.
No one immediately claimed responsibility.
