The government officials will return back to Kabul to seek further consultations on the agenda of peace talks, said Habiba Sarabi, a member of the government negotiating team.
The two sides of the negotiating table have worked out items of the agenda for the already-delayed peace negotiations, she said.
According to officials from both sides, talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban negotiators have been postponed until January 5.
The items of the agenda were discussed and the initial list of items were exchanged between negotiators from the two sides, according to a joint statement.
The next round of talks will be held on January of next year.
