As many as 211 people were tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic within the past 24 hours, said the health ministry on Monday, adding the country recorded four COVID-19 deaths during the same period.
The new patients died from the illness brought the total deaths to 1,975, according to ministry’s figures.
Also, 26 patients having been contracted with the COVID-19 disease have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of coronavirus recoveries to 38,410.
At least 1,442 tests were carried out during the past 24 hours-period.
Worldwide, 1,609,452 have died from the deadly disease and over 71.1 million more have been infected since the start of an outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December.
