Mohammad Rafi Sediqqi, former CEO of Khurshid TV station lost his life after inhaling gas from a canister in Afghan capital’s Qarabagh area yesterday evening, read a statement by Ministry of Interior.
Speaking to TKG, Khwaja Hanif Sediqqi, district governor of Qarabagh, said his dead body along with another was taken to the district hospital.
According to preliminary investigations, the cause of his death remains unclear, so the bodies have been taken to the capital, he said.
A number of Sediqqi’s colleagues, however, said he was shot dead by unknown armed men.
