The armed group abducted these civilians on way in Siahpitab and Pul-e Mehrab areas of Jalriz district in Maidan Wardak, said the provincial police spokesman Haji Mohammad Ofiani.
These travelers were taken to an unnamed locations while they were on way to Kabul, according to the source.
Members of provincial council meanwhile said these people were abducted by Sayed Taqi, a former jihadi commander who had joined the Taliban.
The Taliban have not commented yet.
