The Afghan First Vice President Amrullah Saleh said on Facebook following his 6:30am meeting that government forces have arrested at least nine members of the Taliban and Islamic State groups over the past 24 hour period.
They were arrested in different spots around the capital.
The Afghan Ministry of Interior meanwhile said government Special Forces have captured two Daesh/Islamic States’ members in the second security district.
The groups have not yet commented.
