At least 203 people were tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic within the past 24 hours, said the health ministry, adding the country lost 12 COVID-19 patients during the same period.
The new patients died from the illness pushed the total deaths to 1,687, according to ministry’s figures.
Also, 512 patients having been contracted with the COVID-19 disease have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of coronavirus recoveries to 35,934.
Worldwide, 1,383,557 have died from the deadly disease and over 58.1 more have been infected since the start of an outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December.
