Earlier on Wednesday, November 18, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kabul, Mansoor Ahmad Khan, confirmed that Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit Kabul Thursday.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan visiting Kabul tomorrow for meeting Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to discuss strengthening of bilateral ties,” said Ambassador Mansoor Ahmad Khan in a tweet Wednesday.
Sediq Sediqqi, a spokesman for Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, also said Tuesday during a press addressing that Khan will visit Kabul to meet with the president.
The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier on Saturday announced the Pakistani PM Imran Khan will visit Kabul in this week on the invitation of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
The items on the visit’s agenda will be bilateral security and economic and trade-related cooperation, political ties, and the Intra-Afghan peace talks in Doha, according to a spokesman for the ministry.
President Ghani earlier on September 25 invited Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan to pay an official visit to Kabul which was accepted by Khan.
