A mortar shell was fired by the Taliban last night and hit a residential house in Taloka area in Kunduz city, the Afghan Ministry of Defense announced.
According to the source, at least seven civilians, including women and children, were killed and another six wounded after the mortar round hit the area.
The ministry blamed the Taliban to have fired the rockets, but the group officials claimed the rocket was fired by the government forces, leaving five civilians, including women and children, killed.
