A civilian was killed in a sticky bomb blast which took place yesterday evening in the second district of Lashkargah city, the provincial capital of Helmand, said police spokesman Mohammad Zaman Hamdard.
The spokesman put the toll of dead to one civilian killed.
No one has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
It comes as Afghanistan had a violent few days and has recently been gripped by a surge in sticky bomb attacks.
