At least 23 Taliban fighters have been killed and 14 more wounded in Afghan forces airstrikes in the provincial capital and Dehrawood district of southern Urozgan province, Mohammad Sadiq Issa, a spokesman for the 205th Atal Army Corps said.
Likewise, Afghan forces yesterday carried out airstrikes in Urozgan province’s Dehrawood and Gizab districts, killing 37 of them and wounded another 20.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment.
