COVID-19: Iran Records 453 More Deaths

Iran’s Health Ministry announced Tuesday, cited by IRNA news agency, as many as 453 more COVID-19 patients have lost their lives to the deadly disease, pushing the total deaths to 39,202.

According to health ministry’s spokeswoman, Sima Sadat Lari announcing the cases on Tuesday, as many as 10,339 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were newly detected, of which 3,088 have been hospitalized.

The health ministry’s official further said that with the 453 new deaths, the country’s total COVID-19 deaths hit 39,202.

Another statistic also indicated a rise: since the outbreak, as many as 530,694 patients out of 703,288 total infections have recovered or have been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 5,584 other COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and are under treatment in intensive care units (ICUs), Mrs. Sadat added.
