At least three mortar shells were fired late yesterday evening in Ghazni city, Wahidullah Jumazada, a spokesman for the provincial governor confirmed to TKG.
According to the source, as many as seven civilians were killed and another eight wounded after one of the mortar rounds hit a crowd.
Local officials blamed the Taliban insurgents to have fired the rockets, but the group officials have yet to comment.
