Unknown gunmen have killed a military official in PD21 of Kabul city, said police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz, without releasing further details about the identity of the victim.
An investigation into the killing was ongoing, said the spokesman.
Sources meanwhile said the victim was named Hanifullah Safi who was an employee of the Ministry of Defense.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense has not commented yet.
