Afghan forces announced they have arrested five members of the Taliban group engaged in terrorist and destructing activities in Laghman province.
Speaking at a press conference, Shahzad Mazlomyar, the deputy governor of Laghman province said these Taliban fighters were arrested during an operation by National Security Forces in the capital Mehtarlam city and other districts.
The Taliban arrested by government forces have engaged in bombings, terrorist and suicide attacks and other destructing activities, said the deputy governor.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment.
