COVID-19: Iran Records 386 More Deaths

Iran’s Health Ministry announced on Saturday, cited by IRNA news agency, as many as 386 more COVID-19 patients have lost their lives to the deadly disease recently, pushing the total deaths to 34,864.

According to health ministry’s spokeswoman, Sima Sadat Lari announcing the cases on Saturday, as many as 7,820 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were newly detected, of which 2,417 have been hospitalized.

The health ministry’s official further said that with the 386 new deaths, the country’s total COVID-19 deaths hit 34,864.

Another statistic also indicated a rise: as many as 481,930 patients out of 612,772 total infections have recovered or have been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 5,185 other COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and are under treatment in intensive care units (ICUs), Mrs. Sadat added.
