Reuters news agency quoted Mexico’s Health Ministry reporting on Tuesday 5,942 new confirmed coronavirus infections and 643 additional fatalities.

The new data pushed the total in the country to 901,268 cases and 89,814 deaths, according to the source.

The government has said the real number of infected people is likely significantly higher than the confirmed cases.
