Afghan President Ashraf Ghani strongly condemned yesterday’s “brutal” and “terror” attack on Kawsar educational center in west of Kabul, the Presidential Palace quoted.
Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, who chairs the High Council for National Reconciliation, in a statement condemned the suicide attack, calling it inhuman and against Islamic values.
The attack has also drawn strong condemnation from the international community, social media users as well as from across the political spectrum.
U.S. Chargé d’Affaires, Ross Wilson, also condemned the attack, calling it a “cowardly suicide bombing”. “Afghans want a peaceful future and reject this violence, and Americans stand with them,” he continued.
The explosion struck outside the Kawsar-e Danish educational centre in the Pul-e-Khoshk area of Dasht-e-Barchi in west Kabul on Saturday.
The Afghan Interior Ministry’s spokesman, Tariq Arian, confirmed the attack and put the toll of casualties to 24 killed and 57 others wounded.
