With 12,982 new confirmed coronavirus infections within the last 24 hours, Argentina has recorded to be the fifth country with over one million cases of coronavirus.
The new cases pushed the total cases of infection to 1,002,662 while the death toll hit 26,716 as the country recorded 451 new deaths during the 24-hours period.
After the United States, India, Brazil and Russia, the South-American Argentina is the fifth worst-affected country.
Argentina, with a population of about 45 million, is the smallest nation to have passed the one million cases.
