Two insurgents were killed by their own bombing in Khani Kandai area of Khost’s provincial capital yesterday evening, said police spokesman Adel Haidar.
A bombing plot of two suspects who attempted to transfer their explosives to the provincial capital was foiled after explosives went off and claimed both of them, according to the spokesman.
Officials blamed Taliban for being responsible, but the group has yet to comment.
