The visit comes days after chairman of peace council Dr. Abdullah Abdullah held meetings with Indian senior officials on a four-days visit to the neighboring country.
The chairperson of the peace council met with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani yesterday evening, October 12, briefing the President on his recent visit to India, said the Presidential Palace.
The two sides also discussed President Ghani’s trip to the Qatari capital of Doha.
The top peace negotiator Abdullah Abdullah visited India on October 6, as part of the efforts to seek region’s support for the negotiations between the Afghan government and the Taliban.
