A plan by two drug dealers to smuggle 29 packs of heroin from Badakhshan province was foiled by security forces in northern Takhar province, officials said.
The pair attempted to smuggle drugs from Badakhshan to Rostaq district of Takhar province, according to Takhar’s police spokesman Khalil Aseer, but were caught with the packages they had hidden in a car.
Police investigations were ongoing, said the spokesman.
