The total number of coronavirus cases in Afghanistan rose to 39,928 after 58 were tested positive for the disease, said Masooma Jafari, the deputy spokesperson for the Afghan Ministry of Public Health.
According to health ministry’s deputy spokeswoman, announcing the cases on Tuesday, as many as 58 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were detected within the last 24 hours.
The health ministry’s official further said that with one new death, the country’s total COVID-19 deaths hit 1,480.
Another statistic also indicated a rise: as many as 33,308 patients have recovered or have after 190 patients got better.
