Addressing a press conference, Sediq Sediqqi, a spokesman for President Ghani said the cabinet nominees will be introduced to Afghanistan’s Lower House (Parliament) by next week.
He expected the lawmakers to give their vote of confidence to the nominees, considering the national interests.
President Ghani took several months to hammer out a cabinet list with Abdullah Abdullah, who shares control over cabinet appointments under a deal signed on May 17 following last year’s bitterly disputed election.
