COVID-19: Iran Records 195 More Deaths

Iran’s Health Ministry announced on Saturday as cited by IRNA news agency, as many as 195 more COVID-19 patients have lost their lives to the deadly disease over the past 24 hours, pushing the total deaths to 28,293.

According to health ministry’s spokeswoman, Sima Sadat Lari announcing the cases on Saturday, as many as 3,875 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were detected within the last 24 hours, of which 1,273 have been hospitalized.

The health ministry’s official further said that with the 195 new deaths, the country’s total COVID-19 deaths hit 28,293.

Another statistic also indicated a rise: as many as 403,950 patients out of 496,293 total infections have recovered or have been discharged from hospitals.

A total of 4,239 other COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and are under treatment in intensive care units (ICUs), Mrs. Sadat added.
