The country’s COVID-19 death toll stood at 1,470 as the Afghan Ministry of Public Health reported one new death in the past 24 hours.

The Afghan health ministry reported additional 68 cases on Thursday (October 08), saying the country has now registered 39,616 coronavirus cases and a total of 1,470 deaths since the outbreak.

The number of patients recovered from the illness, according to health ministry data, hit 33,057 with no 13 patients recovered from the novel coronavirus during the last 24 hours.

The country’s COVID-19 death toll stood at 1,470 as a tally by the health ministry indicated that one patient having been infected with the illness has died in the past 24 hours.
