Scores of armed militants attacked last night on security outposts belonged to government local forces in Shah Wali Kot district of Kandahar province, said Jamal Nasir Barekzai, the provincial police spokesman.
Afghan forces repelled the attack, inflicting casualties to militants.
According to the spokesman, at least four Taliban militants were killed and another three wounded.
Four motorbikes and a number of militants’ bombs were also demolished, said Mr. Barekzai.
No armed group immediately commented.
