Afghanistan’s top peace official, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, who chairs the High Council for National Reconciliation met with the neighboring country’s Prime Minister Imran Khan and other government senior officials in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad on a three-day trip as part of efforts for peace and bilateral ties.
Arriving to Pakistan, Dr. Abdullah met with country’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, its Prime Minister Imran Khan, President Arif Alvi, Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa and other top officials, according to a statement issued by office of peace council.
Pakistan and Afghanistan reaffirmed their commitment to closer ties and the Afghan peace process.
