Jailani Farhad, a spokesman for Herat’s governor, confirmed to The Killid Group saying at least five were killed and another four hurt after two fast-moving cars collided with a tanker truck in the province.
The accident took place in Herat-Islamqala Highway, according to the spokesman, it was the second car collision in a row which occurred today.
Earlier in the morning too, a vehicle collided with a passenger car in Herat’s Adraskan district, leaving eleven killed and seven others injured.
There were three women among those pronounced dead, according to local authorities.
The spokesman, Mr. Jailani, further said the provincial governor has ordered for a probe into the main causes and factors that contribute to car collisions.
