Afghan President in a cabinet meeting yesterday, September 28, decided to allow students of remaining classes (from first to tenth-grade) back into the classrooms, read a statement by Presidential Palace (ARG).

The decision was made based on a plan proposed by the Afghan Ministry of Public Health and Ministry of Education, the statement further read.

Earlier, schools, universities and other educational centers reopened on August 05, as per a cabinet’s decision, with serious measures taken to make these places as safe as possible. The decision was, however, limited only to grade eleventh and twelfth grades to be allowed to attend their classes.

The coronavirus pandemic forced education leaders across the country to cancel universities and schools for the rest of the year.
