The South-Asian country has now registered 39,047 infections with 1,444 related deaths since the outbreak.
The death toll crossed 1,440 on Monday, with three deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
Two COVID-19 patients having been contracted with the illness have died in Daykundi, according to the ministry’s data, and another one has lost the battle for his life in the northern Balkh province.
Another statistics also indicated a rise: 32,576 recovery since the outbreak.
