A number of unknown gunmen today have killed a traffic cop, who was named Safiullah, in Darb-e Kandahar, said Ibrahim Noorzai, head of the provincial traffic department.
The gunmen were riding a motorbike, said Mr. Noorzai, and fled the area.
The officer was shot on way home from job, said the source.
No one has so far arrested.
