Tareq Arian, a spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI), said the armed Taliban have carried out 368 attacks across 22 provinces, killing at least 49 civilians and wounding another 49 over the past seven days.
Most of the civilians killed in the past week was residents of the southern Zabul and Kandahar provinces.
The insurgent group has yet to comment.
