Addressing to media, Sediq Sediqqi, a presidential spokesman, said at separate decrees of the Afghan president, Bashir Ahmad Tayanj has been named as the minister-designate for the Ministry of Labor and Social Affair; Nesar Ahmad Ghoriani, as the nominee for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Qudratullah Zaki as the minister-designate for the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation.
Masooma Khawari, meanwhile, has been named as the minister-designate for the Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology.
Anwarulhaq Ahadi, according to the presidential spokesman, has been nominated as the minister-designate for the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and Mohibullah Samim for the Borders and Tribal Affairs Ministry.
Meanwhile, Fazel Ahmad Manawi, was named as the minister-designate for the Ministry of Justice; Noor Rahman Akhlaqi as the minister-designate for Ministry of Repatriation and Refugees; Abbas Basir for the Ministry of Higher Education and Sayed Saadat Mansoor Naderi as State Minister for Peace Affairs.
Most of the nominees were the people close to the chairman of reconciliation council.
After several months of a political feud stemmed from last year’s presidential elections, the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and his electoral rival Dr. Abdullah Abdullah agreed to end a prolonged political standoff and signed an agreement. Under the agreement, Afghan President appoints 50% of the cabinet and Dr. Abdullah will have a power-share of the rest.
