On Monday evening, July 20, during clashes between Afghan forces and the Taliban, a mortar shell hit a house in Ghazni city, Wahidullah Jumazada, a spokesman for the provincial governor confirmed to TKG, without specifying who dropped the mortar shell.
According to the sources, eight Taliban fighters were killed during the clash and another two militants wounded.
Clashes took place after the armed group attacked a security outpost in Ghazni city, said Jumazada.
The insurgent group, however, has yet to comment.
