Speaking to media, Jawed Besharat, said Afghan forces carried out military attacks on the insurgents after a group of them shut the road to traffic to set the traders’ goods on fire.
The attack left nine Taliban militants killed and another six wounded, according to Mr. Besharat. Qari Jumagul, known as Muttaqi, who was behind the group’s bombings was also among the group’s members killed in the attack.
The Taliban group is yet to comment.
