Global COVID-19 Cases Exceed 10.7 Million, Death Toll Stands at 515,141

More than 10.7 million people have been reportedly infected with the coronavirus pandemic globally and a total of 515,141 COVID-19 patients have died so far, according to a Reuters tally.

The figures announced by Reuters indicated that more than 2.7 million people have been infected with the coronavirus across the United States, while the data brought the country’s total deaths to 128,109.

In Brazil, which has the second highest number of coronavirus cases, the total of confirmed infections has risen to 1,447,523 with 60,610 related fatalities.

Russia, the third country with the highest number of infections has so far registered 654,405 coronavirus cases. The total deaths, however, was lower than the two countries with the highest number of infections as a tally by Reuters indicated that Russia’s death toll hit 9,536 on Sunday.

Russia is then followed by India with a total of 585,493 cases and 17,400 deaths, a fourth country with largest number of coronavirus cases.

The total cases in UK has jumped to 313,483 cases by far. The death toll was brought to 43,906 on Thursday, marking the United Kingdom as the third country with highest number of coronavirus related deaths.

Then it is followed respectively by Peru, Chile, Spain, Italy, Mexico, Iran, Pakistan, France and Turkey with total cases higher than two hundred thousand.
