India is still on lockdown, according to reports, while Pakistan eased lockdown restrictions, with educational centers shut, however.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has risen to 202,955 in Pakistan, according to the data released by the country’s health ministry on Sunday morning.

A total 83 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours in the country, pushing the total deaths to 4,118, the ministry said.

India registered its biggest surge in coronavirus cases within the last 24 hours with 19,906 new patients on Sunday, said the country’s health ministry.

The total of cases has now hit 528,859 in the country. Whereas the death toll hit 16,095 after 410 deaths were registered in the past 24 hours.

Globally, more than 10 million people have been reportedly infected with the coronavirus pandemic and 498,274 COVID-19 patients have died, according to a Reuters tally.
