A Taliban’s assault was thwarted by Afghan forces after the armed group’s militants attacked on forces in Saghar district, leaving 14 insurgents killed and another 15 injured, Abdul Maroof Ramesh, a spokesman for Ghor’ police chief confirmed to TKG.
A key member of the Taliban group was also killed, Mr. Ramesh further said. He put the casualties at three injured — all uprising forces.
The Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs, however, said in a statement that the attack left three pro-government forces killed and another three wounded.
The Taliban group, however, is yet to comment.
