Afghanistan Sees Spike in COVID-19 Deaths

Afghanistan registered 165 new coronavirus cases within the past 24 hours, while it recorded 20 more deaths during the same period, the Health Ministry said Saturday.

The COVID-19 tally rose to 30,616, while the death toll reached 703, according to the ministry data.

There was a rise in another statistics: A total of 10,674 patients have recovered from the deadly disease after 368 patients got better within the last 24 hours.

Kabul, Herat, Balkh, Nangarhar, Kandahar and Paktia have the highest number of infections from the coronavirus pandemic.
