U.S. Records More Than 87,000 Coronavirus Deaths

As of today, over 1.4 million cases of coronavirus, including nearly 88,000 related deaths have been reported in the United States, according to a tally by Reuters.

The New York City remains the country’s worst-affected part, with a total of 27,298 deaths and 353,312 infections in the city as of Sunday, a tally by Reuters indicated.

Following the New York State, the state of New Jersey has the highest number of infections and fatalities by the coronavirus pandemic.

So far, the New Jersey has reported 145,089 total infections and a total of 10,249 deaths in the state.

Globally, at least 310,157 people have died from COVID-19 worldwide and as many as 4,641,582 million have been infected by the coronavirus pandemic, following an outbreak that started in Chinese central city of Wuhan, in early December.
