COVID-19 Global Death Toll Hits More Than 114,000

April 12 (The Killid Group) — The total death from the coronavirus pandemic across the globe has jumped to more than 114,000, according to the data provided by John Hopkins University.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) infection toll hit at least 1,850,966, with 114,269 deaths worldwide, mostly in United States, Spain and Italy respectively, according to a tally by John Hopkins University.

The United States remains the worst-hit country in the world, with a total of 557,590 infections and 22,109 total deaths in the country.

The epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) is still in Europe, with Spain and Italy particularly hard hit countries with more deaths after the United States.

As of today, more than 166,831 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in Spain, with a total of 17,209 deaths.

The total number of coronavirus cases in Italy has increased to 156,363 on Monday, while that of deaths hit 19,899 according to the data provided by JHU.

In France, on the other hand, the total confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported 133,670, with a total of 14,412 fatalities, according to the data compiled by JHU.

The novel coronavirus, officially known as COVID-19, which first emerged in China’s central city of Wuhan has now spread to almost every continent and has killed thousands of people, mostly in the United States, Spain and Italy.
