March 11 (The Killid Group) – The Afghan Ministry of Public Health announced that two more cases of the coronavirus were recorded in the provinces of Samangan and Herat, bringing the total number of infections to seven.

The person infected with the virus in Samangan had recently returned from Iran, according to officials in the province.

The spokesperson of public health ministry, Waheedullah Mayar told reporters of The Killid Group that only seven out of 161 suspected cases of the novel coronavirus have tested positive.

Two cases of infection were recorded in Samangan and five others in the western Herat province, he added.

It is worth mentioning that the ministry of health and the departments of public health as well as health centers in the country have issued guidelines for containing the spread of the disease.
