March 10 (The Killid Group) − The final Twenty20 match took place between Afghanistan and Ireland on Tuesday in the afternoon.

With three runs needed for victory off the final ball of the super over, Irish Kevin O’Brien cleared the long-off fence to end his team’s 12-match losing streak.

O’Brien hit a last-ball six as Ireland clinched a consolation super-over win against Afghanistan in the third Twenty20 international in India’s Greater Noida Complex on Tuesday.

Earlier in the Twenty20 opener, Ireland won the toss and elected to bat first, but Afghanistan defeated Ireland by eleven runs.

Later in the second match of the series, which took place on Sunday, Afghanistan captain Asghar Stanikzai won the toss and chose to bat first, which then set the target 184 in four overs.

Ireland Men’s cricket team has failed to capitalize on a promising start, going down by 21 runs to Afghanistan.
