(TKG) − Herat Health officials reported four more suspected cases of the coronavirus in the province.
Nazir Ahmad Dehgan, head of the Public Awareness Committee in Herat, told The Killid Radio that there were four suspected cases of infection to the COVID-19.
A day earlier, three suspected cases were reported, of which only one was positive, Mr. Dehgan said.
The Ministry of Public Health, in the meantime, has declared a state of emergency in Herat.
The minister urged all air and land travel agencies to impose restrictions on travels to and from the province.
Public Health Minister Ferozuddin Feroz on Monday, February 24, urged the media, religious figures, civil society, teachers and other residents to cooperate in raising public awareness.
The coronavirus, which first appeared in China, has spread to dozens of countries around the world, and so far, has killed hundreds of people and endangered the lives of many others.
