(TKG) – The Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health has confirmed a case of infection to coronavirus.
The Afghan minister of Public Health, Mr, Feruzuddin Feruz, said in press conference held today, February 24, that of the three suspected cases, one case of coronavirus infection was positive.
The minister announced a state of emergency and urged all the air and land transportation companies to impose restrictions on travelling to and from provinces across Afghanistan.
He also called on media, religious figures, civil societies and the residents of Afghanistan to cooperate in raising public awareness.
According to the minister of Public Health, the coronavirus, which first appeared in China, has contained to 33 countries around the world, killing hundreds of people and endangering the lives of many others.
